DEAL BRIEF
GIC Singapore, through its affiliate Anahera Investments Pte Limited (“GIC”), has acquired units of Data Infrastructure Trust (“Data InvIT”) from the existing unitholders of Data InvIT for an approximate value of USD 800 million.
Data InvIT is a SEBI-registered InvIT engaged in the sector of passive telecom infrastructure services. GIC, the sovereign wealth fund of Singapore, is a global long-term investor established to manage the foreign reserves of Singapore.
OUR ROLE
We at Nishith Desai Associates, acted as legal counsel for GIC and advised GIC on legal and regulatory aspects along with deal documentation for the acquisition.
