DEAL BRIEF

WestBridge Capital AIF (“WestBridge”) has invested in TSS Consultancy Private Limited (“TSS”, also known as TrackWizz), a technology solutions company providing software as a service (“SaaS”) solutions to regulated entities for statutory compliances in respect of Indian anti-money laundering and ‘know your customer’ related legislations.

TSS’ tech platform TrackWizz, is a platform aimed at tackling financial crime, money laundering, and terrorist financing. It helps financial institutions detect malpractices such as money laundering and terrorist financing.

OUR ROLE

We at Nishith Desai Associates, acted as the legal counsel to WestBridge. We advised them on the legal, regulatory and tax aspects of the transaction. We also conducted legal due diligence on TSS.

OUR CLIENT

WestBridge is an India-focused investment firm investing regularly in and providing management expertise to mid-sized companies, across public and private markets. WestBridge has made over 150 investments across companies bearing a strong nexus with India and South Asia, with a focus in financial services, fintech, SaaS, e-commerce, edtech, consumer, and machine learning sectors.
