Nuveen Global Impact Fund, LP (“Nuveen”) led the Series C investment round of USD 25 million in Ecozen Solutions Private Limited (“Ecozen”), along with other investors, existing and new. Ecozen manufactures sustainable storage solutions for perishables with the goal of moving towards an eco-friendlier future. Ecozen develops climate-smart deeptech solutions for motor controls, IoT, and energy storage focussed in the agriculture sector.

Nuveen, a leading global investment manager with over $1.3 trillion of assets under management, invest in a plethora of companies for over 120 years across multiple sectors such as real estate, infrastructure, financial services, etc.

OUR ROLE

We, at Nishith Desai Associates, acted as the legal counsel to Nuveen. We advised them on the legal, tax and regulatory aspects of the transaction.
