DEAL BRIEF

Qualcomm Incorporated was recently declared a successful bidder in the Broadband Wireless Access ("BWA") Auction conducted by the Department of Telecom, Government of India. This is the first time that the Indian Government has conducted an auction of spectrum and has allowed foreign players to directly participate in such auction. Qualcomm is a leading provider of telecommunications products and services.
