DEAL BRIEF

Toyota Enterprises India Private Limited (Toyota India), the Indian arm of Toyota Enterprise Inc., has forayed into the Indian hospitality space by entering into a joint venture with Hyagreeva Hotels & Resorts Private Limited, which operates 'The Chancery' hotel in Bangalore.

This is the first hotel in India to be marketed mainly to the Japanese business community visiting Bangalore. The operations are proposed to begin from January 2013.

We, at Nishith Desai Associates, acted as legal counsel to Toyota India for this joint venture.

株式会社トヨタエンタプライズのインド現地法人であるToyota Enterprises India Private Limited （「トヨタエンタプライズインディア社」）は、南インドカルナータカ州の州都バンガロールにてホテル「The Chancery」を経営するHyagreeva Hotels & Resorts Private Limitedとの間で、業務提携に関する契約を締結し、インドにおける宿泊・接客ビジネスに進出しました。

同ホテルは、バンガロールを訪れる日本人出張者や現地駐在者らを主要な顧客営業対象とする初のホテルとなり、2013 年1 月からの始業が予定されています。
