DEAL BRIEF

W Health Global Series LLC (“W Health Ventures”), along with other investors, led the Pre-Series B investment round of approx. USD 5.7 million in Health Arx Technologies Private Limited (undertaking business as BeatO). BeatO offers services to patients with diabetes through a smartphone glucometer and mobile application, which connects them with in-house specialists, shares and analyses readings, tracks fitness levels, and manages the diet of the patient with a range of diabetic-friendly food products. W Health Ventures is a Boston-based venture capital firm focused on helping entrepreneurs build the future of healthcare.

OUR ROLE

We, at Nishith Desai Associates, acted as the India legal counsel to W Health Ventures. We advised them on the legal, tax and regulatory aspects of the transaction.
